LML is a name that many 90s kids might remember fondly. But the (currently) virtually non-existent two-wheeler brand is now ready for another stint. The company has registered the names ‘Star’ and ‘Hyperbike’. The application’s status is ‘Formalities Check Pass’ at the moment, which means that the application is filed correctly and the Indian Trademark Registry has authenticated it.
The LML Star was a well-known scooter back in the day and we think the brand might try to resurrect the iconic moniker, albeit by introducing it in an EV form this time. The LML Hyperbike on the other hand, could probably be a high-speed hybrid bicycle, since the company recently partnered up with Germany-based eRockit AG. The companies had signed a Letter Of Intent (LOI), and plan to soon commence production of the eRockit e-bikes at LML’s facility in Haryana.
Once here, the LML Star electric scooter will go up against models from Hero Electric, Ola Electric, Ather, Bajaj, TVS and Okinawa.
